Use your Ranger experience and skills to build and burn a fire that will leave neighbors from miles around in aww!

Must be home made! (i.e - no bunker buster or fuel bombs )



Rules recap:

1. A merit name will be posted as a new topic in The Arena. For the next four (4) days, forum members will be permitted to submit one (1) requirement for the merit per day (maximum of four (4) submissions per merit).

2. No double posting permitted. If nobody has submitted a requirement post since your last post, then you are stuck waiting on others.

3. Please keep your posts in good taste. Witty is good, puns are good, crude is not good, insults are not good. People tend to use the pseudo-anonymity of forums as a license to do and say things that they would never attempt in person. Remember, we are all Rangers here and we live by the Ranger Code.

4. Try to avoid discussing the requirement posts until the voting phase begins. This will help keep the thread uncluttered.

5. After the end of the four (4) day submission period, a new poll topic will be started in The Arena to vote on the best submission. Here is where the merits (pun intended) of all the posted requirements may be debated. The voting period will run for three (3) days. The current moderator may not vote in the poll (but will be able to cast a tie-breaker vote if necessary).

6. The winner of the vote will be awarded 50 Ranger Bucks. The winner will also be the moderator for the next merit (this prevents a single player from dominating the game). He will post a new topic (as outlined in Rule 1 above) and the game will begin anew.

1. Build a fire visible from space

1. The Great Wall of China fire (or really the Great Wall of China on fire)

1. Start with at least one of the log holding yards for a large papermill and add all the sawdust you can get.

2) Start a fire using a car battery....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I didn't mean set the car on fire...........Oh well!!!!!!!!

Pre-heat 8 Magnesium Magna-Block fire starters on your Camp propane stove.

Coordinate a time with all Rangers worldwide to start the biggest bon-fire they can at the same time on the same day to make the earth look like a smaller version of the sun.

7. Build a full sized replica of Noah's Ark (use real dry pine) except with no floor where it meets the ground.

Dig a hole to within eruption distance of the Earth's Molten Core and stop digg'n.

Dump about 50 LBS of Good Dry Black Powder in the bottom of the hole and climb to the top of the Ark.

Soot a flamin arrow from the top of the Ark down into the hole you dug and RUN fer yer life.

The Black Powder should ignite blow'n out the rest of the bottom of the hole and causing the eruption which should start the Ark to burnin.

This fire should be easily visible from space as are most volcanic eruptions are.

Note: The Powder charge must not disturb the Ark Structure so you may want to experiment with the size of the hole and the amount of the charge until you git the right mix.

This Merit can be awarded postumously if necessary.
